Tuition, Fees and Financial Aid

Redeemer School strives to make our high-quality education accessible to all families by keeping tuition costs low and facilitating financial aid to qualifying families. We do not want cost to be a barrier for your family! We encourage you to apply for financial aid and scholarships. All scholarships are awarded based on need.

Financial Aid

Redeemer School provides Tuition Assistance Grants for families based on financial need, without regard to race, color, national or ethnic origin. Financial Aid is awarded by Redeemer School, based on FACTS recommendations and available tuition assistance funds at the time of application. Tuition Assistance Grants awarded will be applied to tuition only, including READ and ROOTS tuition, if applicable. A family’s Tuition Assistance Grant application may also be re-evaluated for any additional Redeemer School Financial Aid upon request due to change in circumstances.

Redeemer School also provides two scholarship funds: Bless the Community (BTC) scholarship and Bless the Nations (BTN) scholarship. The BTC scholarship provides financial aid for ethnic minority families who also demonstrate financial need. The BTN scholarship provides financial aid for missionary families who are on furlough through an established missions agency and who demonstrate financial need. For further information about the Bless the Community scholarship, please see this handout. For further information about the Bless the Nations scholarship, please see this handout

Financial Aid applications for Tuition Assistance Grants, Bless the Community Scholarships, and Bless the Nations Scholarships are all processed online through the FACTS Grant & Aid Application. FACTS assists Redeemer School in determining a family’s financial need and the amount of financial assistance they may qualify for.

FACTS Grant & Aid Applications are accessible through the enrollment application portal for new families, and through the FACTS Family Portal for current / returning families. The FACTS Grant & Aid Application includes a $40 application fee charged to the family. For questions about filling out the FACTS Grant & Aid application, please call FACTS Customer Service at 866.441.4637 (also available in Español).

Financial Aid applications must be completed by February 28th to be assured priority consideration. For new families enrolling after February 28th, Financial Aid applications may still be submitted within 10 days of an enrollment application being submitted. The school will notify families of a financial aid decision by the end of March or within 3 weeks of a completed application, whichever is later.

North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program and Education Student Accounts (ESA+) Grant

Redeemer School participates in the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program and the ESA+ Grant. In October 2023, the 2023 Appropriations Act expanded eligibility for the NC Opportunity Scholarship Program. The new law authorizes several changes to the State’s Opportunity Scholarship Program, which will begin with the 2024-2025 school year.

Changes for the 2024-2025 school year include:

  • Removal of the income cap for families to receive the scholarship; now all North Carolina students in kindergarten through 12th grade will be eligible for the Scholarship regardless of income.
  • Prior North Carolina public school enrollment is no longer a requirement for eligibility for the scholarship.
  • A student’s scholarship amount will be based on household income (the current amounts are estimated) and will be assigned through a lottery system and tiered levels. The award tiers determine the award amount as well as the order of awarding for new students for applications received in February 2024.
  • Scholarship amounts will range from approximately $3,000 to approximately $7,000.
  • Renewal students, regardless of their award tier, are considered by the SEAA first each year before new students.
  • All qualifying applicants for Tier 1 will be placed in a lottery. Scholarships will be offered in order of lottery number to all eligible students in Tier 1. After Tier 1 is complete, this same process will move to Tier 2, and so on.  SEAA will continue to award “through the tiers” until the funds are depleted. If the number of eligible applications exceeds the amount of funds, then SEAA will establish a waitlist.
  • Families who choose Annual Pay before notice of receiving NCOS funds will have the annual pay 2% discount removed upon notice of the scholarship award.
  • Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, North Carolina 3rd and 8th graders will be required to take a specific nationally standardized test (not the EOG). The SEAA will cover the cost of this test. Other students in grades 4-7 will continue to be tested at Redeemer School as before. The details of this process are not finalized, but it could indicate that 3rd and 8th grade students could be required to take two standardized tests each school year. The SEAA is currently researching this information with the Department of Public Instruction and they are committed to ensuring this is manageable for students, families, and schools.

Due to the timing of the scholarship funding process, Redeemer School 2024-2025 registration/enrollment fees are not covered as a part of the Opportunity Scholarship/ESA+ funding.

The Opportunity Scholarship application for the 2024-2025 school year will open on February 1, 2024. Families must apply by March 1 to receive priority consideration. More information about the application process will be available on the NCSEAA website in January.

North Carolina’s Education Student Accounts (ESA+)

North Carolina’s Education Student Accounts (ESA+) program is available to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Funds may be used to pay tuition and fees for eligible private schools, and for expenses such as speech therapy, tutoring services, and educational technology.

Details about this program include:

  • $9,000 annual award; students with certain designated disabilities may be eligible to receive $17,000 a year
  • Eligibility based on documentation of a disability and other program requirements

More information about this program is available on the NCSEAA website.

Please note:

  • The Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Grant will take precedence over any earlier awarded Redeemer School Financial Aid. Tuition will be recalculated for the full school year without Redeemer School financial aid. Payments made to date will be applied to the full tuition rate; and, the awarded amount of the NCOS scholarship will be applied. Any balance due would then be divided equally between the remaining months of tuition payment based on your choice of FACTS payment plan.
  • If you applied for an Opportunity Scholarship (NCOS) but your family is not selected as a recipient and your family would require tuition assistance from Redeemer School, priority consideration can only be given if you have submitted a tuition assistance application through FACTS Grant and Aid by the February 28th deadline.

Redeemer has given our children a God-inspired lens through which to view the world.
